PORTLAND CHILDREN’S MUSEUM
Description: Retrospective Art Show
Size: 700 sq ft
Project Team: KSMoCA and PCM
Curated by the King School Museum of Contemporary Art Student Advisory Board, a retrospective was exhibited at Portland Children's Museum in 2018. The show focused on the unique KSMoCA program, which pairs internationally renowned contemporary artists in collaboration with K-8th grade students. KSMoCA and a group of K-6 students worked with Portland Children's Museum to exhibit the art work.
"Artists play, just like children. Human children and artists need the same things to fire up their imaginations. They need quiet time, space, tools, and inspiration. Inspiration is what we see, hear, feel, and touch that gives us ideas. When they play, children and artists can take creative risks." - Museum of Glass
